Alan is a Providence-based artist who makes work communally, frequently in the spirit of skill sharing and as a good excuse to spend time with other humans...think sewing circle. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Individualized Studies at Goddard College where - through the lens of printmaking, photography, fiber work, illustration and the occasional performance - he focused on worldwide cultural beliefs around fabric, mass media, and consumerism. His current project considers fabric a vessel for memory, where the essence of people's stories are printed and sewn, and connected, through this process-heavy work. Alan's day job has him managing communications and events for the Career Center, as well as advising students on their artist residency applications.

Fun Fact: Alan also holds an Associate in Applied Science degree in Laser/Electro-Optic Technology.
