The Career Center team is eight members strong and eager to help all RISD students and alumni through a variety of advising options covering a wide array of professional topics. Whether you are just starting out, developing your portfolio, looking for opportunities, applying for grants, seeking art residencies, entrepreneurship, interview preparation, or anything else career related. We’ve seen it all with decades of combined professional and advising experience in the fine arts and design worlds.

Booking an advising appointment is easy on our new and improved ArtWorks platform. Students and Alumni can use their RISD login to schedule in-person or remote appointments. Need help with your account ID or password? Visit the RISD password service to get up and running on ArtWorks.

Drop-In Hours

Drop-ins are first-come first-served in-person advising sessions that are available to currently enrolled RISD students during the school year for brief advising topics. These sessions are limited to 15 minutes only. Example topics include proofreading a resume, questions regarding searching for internships or jobs, tips for communicating with professionals, etc. 

  • Monday through Thursday - 11am to 1pm
  • Friday - 9am to 3pm
  • Note: Drop-Ins are only available to current students and not available during school breaks. Alumni should schedule a career advising appointment for assistance.
