Karen is a natural connector. She will happily talk with strangers at length about fulfilling their creative passions. Karen is the Internship Manager for RISD and she works closely with students, staff, faculty, and companies to create an engaging experiential learning community. Karen earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from RISD and she has gained significant skills and knowledge from work in design, jewelry, technology, sales and fine arts. She simultaneously loves to solve student and employer problems while painting moody self-portrait watercolors and making sure the voice of equality is present at the table.

Fun facts: Karen absolutely loves bananas and she has grown her own banana tree on her deck at home. Karen also truly feels alive in 90-degree weather!
